Sustainable Energy for All has generated
significant momentum since its launch. Both developed countries and more than
85 developing countries have partnered with SE4All to advance the three
objectives on the country level. Over 50 High Impact Opportunities (HIOs) have
been identified, with a wide range of stakeholders undertaking actions
that will have significant potential to advance Sustainable Energy
for All. Governments, the private sector, and multilateral institutions alike
are mobilizing resources in support of the initiative’s three objectives:
1. Providing universal access to modern
energy services
2. Doubling the global rate of improvement
in energy efficiency
3. Doubling the share of renewable energy in
the global energy mix
The Sustainable Energy for All Initiative
enjoys the support of the United Nations General Assembly.
