The UNECE International PPP Centre of Excellence has as its core vision
the implementation of PPP solutions to promote the United Nations Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs). One of its core functions is to advise governments in
their project preparation, more specifically, how these projects can contribute
to achieving the SDGs by putting people first through improved access to
services, and by building more resilient infrastructure that are easily
replicated in other regions and countries. Over the past three months, the
UNECE has gathered a number of cases studies from different sources – public
sector, NGOs, academia and the private sector. This Compendium collects 30 case
studies from all over the world covering a wide variety of sectors from water to
energy, and roads to agriculture. The case studies have one thing in common:
they all aspire to achieve the SDGs.
