Sustainable
Development Goals (SDG) and Cities
On 2015
September 25th, countries will have the opportunity to adopt a set of goals to
end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all as part of a new
sustainable development agenda. Each goal has specific targets to be achieved
over the next 15 years.
For the goals
to be reached, everyone needs to do their part: governments, the private
sector, civil society and people.
Goal 11: Make
cities inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable. Sustainable
city life is one of 17 Global Goals that make up the 2030 Agenda for
Sustainable Development. An integrated approach is crucial for progress across
the multiple goals.
